There are no special requirements to get Affordable Care Act.   You only need to be a US Citizen or Legal US resident to qualify for the Affordable Care Act / Obamacare.

• Most people on Medicare will still stay with Medicare.  You are already covered. You do not have to buy more health coverage.
• If you have coverage from your job, you are covered. You do not need to buy more health insurance.

The main purpose of Affordable Care Act is getting insurance coverage for the uninsured and making health insurance more affordable.
