2013 Federal Poverty Guide Affordable Care Act

The 100% federal poverty level for year 2013 is as follows

  • poverty level for household of one (1) is $11,490
  • poverty level for household of two (2) is $15,510
  • poverty level for household of three (3) is $19,530
  • poverty level for household of four (4) is $23,550
  • poverty level for household of five (5) is $27,570

Household with an income up to 133 percent of federal poverty line will be eligible for Medicaid.  Household with income between 133 percent to 400 percent of the poverty line will be able to get financial assistance (premium subsidies) from the government to buy healthcare coverage.

The 133% federal poverty level for year 2013 is as follows

  • poverty level for household of one (1) is $15,282
  • poverty level for household of two (2) is $20,628
  • poverty level for household of three (3) is $25,975
  • poverty level for household of four (4) is $31,322
  • poverty level for household of five (5) is $36,668

The 400% federal poverty level for year 2013 is as follows:

  • poverty level for household of two (2) is $62,040
